Garmin Vivoactive 3

Resource “Wareable” reports that in the near future we are waiting for the announcement of Garmin Vivoactive 3. As evidence, we showed a couple of images on which the device is shown. Although its technical characteristics remain secret, we can now make a couple of conclusions about the new device.

First, the third version of Vivoactive received the design of conventional watches, apparently inspired by the Fenix line. The two previous models (Vivoactive and Vivoactive HR) had rectangular enclosures, the appearance of which was not suitable for everyday use.

Secondly, Vivoactive 3 will learn to respond to messages that are duplicated from a mobile device. In the image above, you can see that the “Reply” button appeared under the message. Will it be voice input, prepared answers or a full keyboard? We will find out during the official announcement.

In addition, from the published images it became known that Vivoactive has 3 interchangeable straps: you can see small levers in place of attaching the belt to the body. On the back of the device, like the HR model, you can see the heart rate sensor.

Vivoactive 3 has only one physical key. The main way to interact with the clock interface, in analogy with the predecessor, will be a touchscreen display.

“Wareable” also reports that Vivoactive 3 is not afraid of water. Vivoactive HR had a modest protection against water pressure of 5 atm, that is, it could withstand only sweat and splashes.
