Smart watch Apple Watch 3 with LTE
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, known for its links to the supply chain of manufacturers, shared a portion of predictions about the third generation of Apple’s smart watches, which are now being prepared for release.
According to the analyst, Apple Watch 3 will not receive significant changes, except for the support of cellular networks 4G LTE. They will retain two sizes, 38 mm and 42 mm, and will be offered in versions with and without LTE, like iPad tablets. It is interesting that Apple Watch with cellular support will be able to work only in LTE networks, and in more common, but slow 3G – no.
Recall that the current version of the clock requires a wireless connection to the iPhone, to broadcast music, download details on the map and send messages.
With the built-in LTE chip, the smart clock will be able to independently go online and perform similar tasks without having a smartphone nearby. For example, the user will be able to download new songs and use the applications on a jog, leaving the iPhone at home. As expected, the supplier of LTE-modems will be Intel, not Qualcomm.
According to earlier leaks, Apple Watch Series 3 sales should begin in the fall. The most likely month of the debut is September, along with the next generation iPhone. In addition to supporting cellular communications, the watch can get improved battery life and performance.
